OPT OUT PROCEDURE:

• Parents/Guardians submit a request to review PSSA tests NO EARLIER than two weeks prior to the start of the testing window (April 6, 2026), and no later than the final full school day prior to the start of exams (April 17, 2026)
• A date & time is set up with the school counselor or principal to review the PSSA exams. Assessments must be reviewed on school property and district personnel must be present at all times.
• At the meeting, parents/guardians will turn over any electronic device to ensure test security, and sign a Test Security Agreement, which states that the person viewing the test will not share anything they have seen on the exam with anyone else
• If after reviewing the test, parents/guardians find the test to be in conflict with their religious beliefs and wish their child(ren) to be excused from the test, the parents/guardians must provide a written request that states their objection
